At Perfect Pilates, we offer an inviting Pilates for Beginners 6 week Program (you are also welcome if you are seeking a back to basics Pilates Program). This is 6 week program, tailored to help you explore the fundamentals of fitness through engaging sessions that utilize Pilates small equipment. Join us to experience the transformative power of Pilates and learn to confidently incorporate the use of the small equipment into your practice to set your foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle! The classes are small group classes to allow for individual attention. Mats and small equipment is provided. Each week we will take a deep dive into one small piece of Pilates equipment, at each class you will gain confidence through learning the correct use of the small equipment for improved body awareness, support, and flexibility. (this is achieved by understanding each piece of equipment's purpose through guidance from a qualified instructor). Pilates small equipment has many uses, from adding resistance and strength work to aiding better alignment or helping activate underactive muscles. They can also add an element of fun to class! The most famous one from Joseph Pilates is the magic ring, a great tool to learn how to activate and stabilise the shoulder girdle but can also be used to get the glutes firing and to feel a deeper connection to the pelvic floor. The small ball has many uses for Pilates practice, including supporting the spin and sacrum. Another piece of Pilates small equipment is the thera band or resistance band. This can be used to work the triceps and biceps - enhancing upper body strength. The foam roller, weighted balls and dumbbells will also introduced into the 6 week program.
